GRANTS FOR PUBLIC CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS
Deadline for submission: March 15th and September 15th
The Marr-Anderson Family Foundation provides philanthropic support to public charitable organizations for the purpose of encouraging education, health and entrepreneurial ventures. The Marr-Anderson Family Foundation provides grants only to public charitable organizations that fall within Section 501(a)(1) or 501(a)(9) and that further these purposes.
INDIVIDUAL GRANTS: Scholarships for Education:
Deadline for Submission: February 28th to be awarded in June.
Secondary Education Scholarship: The purpose of the Secondary Education Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students for attendance in grades 9-12 or a post-graduate year who are seeking alternative education that is not offered in their current school district.
College Education Scholarship: The purpose of the College Education Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to college students who have academic promise and good moral character, but also have demonstrated a financial need.
Graduate Education Scholarship: The purpose of the Graduate Education
Scholarship will be to provide financial assistance to graduate students who have demonstrated financial need and who wish to pursue graduate degrees in the fields of business, education or medicine.
INDIVIDUAL GRANTS: Program for Medical Needs
Deadline for submission: March 15th and September 15th
The recipients are limited to United States citizens and legal residents of the United States. The program awards grants to individuals with life threatening diseases or life changing disabilities to help meet their medical needs.
INDIVIDUAL GRANTS: Program for Catastrophic/Tragic Events
Deadline: March 15th and September 15th, we will review these applications more frequently as they will be need based and time sensitive.
The recipients are limited to residents of the State of Maine who are either United States citizens or legal residents of the United States. This program provides grants to individuals immediately after the occurrence of a catastrophic event, such as the death of household provider or the destruction of a home by fire or natural disaster.
The Marr-Anderson Family Foundation’s mission is to promote education, health and offer compassionate support during times of crisis.
